The debate over drug testing for unemployment benefits was a big topic last session. Now, it seems like all the fighting might be for nothing.

In Monday's Capital Tonight, we looked at why a law passed with the governor's seal of approval is still being delayed, and why some fear it might not go into effect at all.

On the Agenda

The first debate of the governor's race is in the books, but the campaigns are still making hay of it. The Quorum Report's Harvey Kronberg joined us to sort out the significant moments.

Capital Commentators

On the eve of the first debate in the race for governor, a newly released poll shows Democrat Wendy Davis trailing Republican Greg Abbott by double digits. But are the numbers to be believed? Our Capital Commentators joined us in the studio to debate the merits and methodology.

Candidate Conversation

Thursday, we sat down for a for a Candidate Conversation with Democrat David Alameel. He is hoping to unseat long-time incumbent Republican John Cornyn, despite having been a one time campaign contributor. Alameel explained why he no longer supports the Republican party; and why he is even critical of some fellow Democrats.
